How to Plan a Memorable Arcade Birthday Party at Providha Fun City
Planning a birthday party for children, teenagers or even adults can be challenging when you want to keep everyone entertained. You need a venue that can accommodate your guests, activities that keep people engaged and food that everyone can enjoy.
An arcade birthday party can bring all three together.
At Providha Fun City, guests can enjoy arcade gaming alongside other entertainment, dining and accommodation options. This makes it possible to turn a few hours of gaming into a complete birthday experience for family and friends.
Whether you are organising a small children's party or a larger celebration, these tips can help you plan a memorable arcade birthday at Providha Fun City.
Why Choose an Arcade for a Birthday Party?
Arcade games are naturally social and interactive. Instead of guests sitting around waiting for entertainment, everyone can participate at their own pace.
Arcades also work well for mixed groups because different people can choose different games. One guest might enjoy racing games, another may prefer skill-based games, while someone else might be interested in collecting tickets and competing for prizes.
This flexibility makes arcade gaming suitable for children, teenagers, families and groups of friends.
Choose the Right Games for Your Group
One of the easiest ways to make an arcade party enjoyable is to encourage guests to try different types of games.
Depending on the available arcade selection, popular categories can include:
Racing games
Basketball and sports games
Shooting and target games
Driving games
Skill-based games
Ticket games
Prize games
Multiplayer games
Classic arcade games
You do not need everyone to play the same game. Give guests the freedom to explore and discover their favourites.
Create an Arcade Game Challenge
If you want to make the birthday more competitive, create a simple game challenge.
Guests can compete to achieve the highest score on selected games. You could award informal titles such as:
Highest Score
Best Racer
Arcade Champion
Best Comeback
Most Tickets
Best Team Player
The competition does not have to be serious. The aim is to create extra excitement and give guests something to talk about.
How Ticket and Prize Games Work
Many arcade venues feature games where players can earn tickets or points based on their performance.
These tickets can then potentially be exchanged for prizes, depending on the arcade's system.
For children, this can add another level of excitement to the experience. They are not simply playing games. They also have a goal to work towards.
Before the party begins, explain how the ticket and prize system works so children understand how they can use their tickets.
Set an Arcade Budget
Setting a budget before your party can make the experience easier to manage.
Decide how much you want to spend on arcade play and whether you want each guest to have the same amount available.
For a larger group, you can allocate a specific gaming budget per guest. This allows everyone to participate while helping you keep track of overall spending.
It is also worth asking Providha Fun City about current arcade prices, available packages and any options designed specifically for birthday groups before your visit.
Give Everyone a Chance to Play
A birthday party can become less enjoyable if a few guests dominate the most popular games.
Encourage children to take turns and allow everyone to try different games.
For larger groups, dividing guests into smaller teams can make the arcade experience easier to organise.
You can also create a rotation where each group spends a set amount of time exploring different sections of the arcade.
Combine Arcade Gaming with Food
Gaming can work up an appetite, particularly when children and teenagers are active for several hours.
Plan a meal break as part of your birthday itinerary rather than waiting until everyone is hungry.
At Providha Fun City, you can combine arcade gaming with dining at Back Porch or De Plate Cafeteria.
For a casual group meal, De Plate Cafeteria offers a seafood-focused option. For a restaurant-style dining experience, Back Porch can provide another setting for the celebration.
A simple party schedule could be:
Guests arrive
Arcade gaming begins
Birthday game challenge
Food and refreshments
Birthday cake and celebration
More arcade gaming
Final prize or ticket collection
Plan the Birthday Around a Family Day Pass
If you are planning a family celebration, consider asking about the Family Day Pass.
A day pass can help you build a broader experience rather than limiting the celebration to arcade gaming.
Depending on the available activities and package terms, your group can combine arcade entertainment with other leisure activities throughout the day.
This can be particularly useful when guests have different interests or when you want the birthday celebration to last beyond a single activity.
Turn the Birthday into an Overnight Experience
Why end the celebration when the arcade session finishes?
For families travelling from other parts of Lagos or visitors who want a complete getaway, an overnight stay can extend the experience.
The Seafood & Stay package can be an option for guests who want to combine accommodation with dining and leisure.
Instead of arranging transportation home immediately after the celebration, your family can stay overnight and continue enjoying the destination.
Arcade Birthday Ideas for Different Ages
Young Children
Keep the games simple and focus on colourful, easy-to-understand activities. Allow plenty of time for children to explore rather than making the party heavily competitive.
Teenagers
Teenagers may enjoy competitive racing, sports, multiplayer and skill-based games. A score challenge or arcade tournament can make the celebration more exciting.
Adults
Arcade gaming is not only for children. Adults can join in, compete with friends and enjoy a nostalgic gaming experience.
Consider creating teams and adding friendly challenges to encourage everyone to participate.
Mixed-Age Groups
Choose a variety of games so that children, teenagers and adults can all find something they enjoy.
You can also combine arcade gaming with other activities around Providha Fun City to keep the entire group entertained.
How to Make the Party More Organised
A little planning can make a big difference.
Before your event, confirm the number of guests, preferred date and time, dining requirements and any birthday arrangements you need.
For larger groups, contact Providha Fun City in advance to discuss available options.
If you have young children attending, consider having enough adults available to supervise them and help them move between activities.
It is also useful to establish a meeting point where guests can return if they become separated from the group.
Allow Time for Photos
An arcade birthday is full of colourful games and exciting moments, so remember to capture some of them.
Take photos when guests arrive, during group games and when the birthday cake is brought out.
You can also take a group photo at the end of the celebration with everyone holding their prizes or celebrating the birthday guest.
Make the Arcade Part of a Full Providha Fun City Experience
The biggest advantage of choosing an arcade at an all-in-one leisure destination is that you can build the entire celebration around the venue.
Your guests can play games, enjoy food, take part in other activities and, if you choose an overnight option, stay on site.
This removes some of the stress involved in organising a birthday across multiple locations.
Instead of travelling from an arcade to a restaurant and then finding another location for accommodation, you can keep the main parts of the celebration together.
A Sample Arcade Birthday Itinerary
Here is one way to structure the day:
12:00 PM: Guests arrive and settle in.
12:30 PM: Arcade gaming begins.
1:30 PM: Team challenges and score competitions.
2:30 PM: Lunch at Back Porch or De Plate Cafeteria.
3:30 PM: Birthday cake and photographs.
4:00 PM: More arcade games and prize collection.
5:00 PM: Final group activity and celebration.
The exact timing can be adjusted according to your group size, package and preferred activities.
Make Your Next Birthday One to Remember
A great birthday party is not necessarily about having the most complicated schedule. It is about giving guests an experience they can enjoy together.
Arcade gaming provides an easy way to bring people together, while food, additional activities and accommodation can turn the celebration into a complete experience.
At Providha Fun City, you can combine arcade gaming with dining at Back Porch or De Plate Cafeteria, explore available birthday and family packages, and even extend the celebration with an overnight stay.
